I am only 16 and not able to vote, but like most people in my generation, I'm still keeping up with the issues of the upcoming election. I consider myself a conservative even though there are some liberal issues that I agree with strongly. The issues that I tend to have liberal views on have mostly to do with 'choice'. I have a really big problem with people who think that they have the right to tell another human being how to live his or her life. I have absolutely no problem with same sex marriage. If two people of the same sex can adopt a child together, can buy a home together, and can do everything else a man and woman can do together; why shouldn't they be able to be married? The way people choose to live their lives is a personal decision; even if the chosen way isn't the 'norm' in society. I would never judge somebody because they had different religious views or if they were a different race, so what right do I have to judge somebody of a different sexuality? As for arguing that schools will teach criteria discussing 'same-sex marriage'...when in your entire education did you EVER learn about marriage between any two people; including between a man and a woman? Besides, how can knowing about same sex marriage harm a child? Believe me, every kid will be exposed to homosexuality at some point in their lives, especially in school. Learning about homosexuality will not affect the way a child views his or her own sexuality, and even if it does; I would HOPE that every parent would support their child's views-even if it differs from their own.

Sad that this is what my dreams have come to...
You know when you sleep in way too long and you start to dream REALLY weird dreams? Since I've been on break for almost two weeks now, this has been happening daily. I've had my fair share of weird dreams throughout, but today's dream was wayyy to weird. Here's how it went down...
I'm at the Olympic trials...in Tahoe. Apparently I'm here for swimming (I picked this up when I was suddenly in a room with a giant swimming pool...I hate swimming). Anyway, also with me in this magical swim arena is Zac Efron and his family (who actually resembles the family from "The Real Housewives of Orange County"). In my dream Zac's name isn't Zac though, it's Logan and somewhere throughout the dream it's established that he is actually my boyfriend. This is why this dream is soooo weird..I have no idea why Zac Efron is in my dream, but I will say that after waking up this morning I have a new found respect for him. Somewhere in the dream I realize that I need to walk to the barn and that my friend Whitney needs to come with me! Once at the barn, I notice that the barn has been renovated and now every horse has a stall furnished like a summer beach home (that is in all white with blue accents). While passing by Amigo's newly restored stall, I spy him lounging on a chase lounge...how comfy.
When I look back on the dream I can only explain it to myself in this way: that subconsciously I think of myself as better than Vanessa Hudgens, I have the potential to be an Olympic athlete, and that I want to vacation in the Hamptons..but I'm sure there's probably another explanation.

Working
It's official...unfortunately. Today I went down to get my work permit and on Thursday I start training. Oooh boy. Some days I'm really excited to start work...other days, I watch the news and HOOOPE that the economy becomes soo bad that Tilly's has to let me go. But there's really no turning back now I guess-and plus, it's important to think of all the positive things that will come my way because of my job (like sexy skaterboarders/motocrossers and lots of monnney =]).
